Game Dev Log #4: Tunes and Realizations

Yo yo yo,

It's been a while since the last update but here we are, with an update. Two things.

1. Our team is being joined by Eve Juneau, who will be rocking our world with somber tunes to scrum to. I.e., Eve's doing music and sound design. This is really exciting because Eve is cool and makes interesting tunes and well, VtT having its own soundtrack is fucking rad. We all know how important sound design is to a game and the music she has been cooking up...it's gonna be good.

2. Did you know you can't just make a video game? You have to plan it. Bonkers, I know. I spent a few weeks banging my head against the wall, trying to figure out the best way to write things and then my producer brain actually kicked on and reminded me that I had to set up a process and templates to make this easier. Before I can put on my writer hat, I have to put on my producer hat. So I've been spending time organizing folders and asking the team what they need and setting up workflows and prioritizing. It takes work to set it up but it pays off in the end. It's what I'll be working on the most this week.

Andi has got mechanics and core features set up in the engine and Danielle is nailing down Vesper, our PM Protagonist. They're looking good!

That's the news for now. Now that the team is assembled we should have more frequent updates with some realistic estimates for the game release. We should be meeting Vesper tuned, so stay tuned.

That's the news for now. Stay tuned for more!

Best,

Tris
